Alabama Possible – a statewide nonprofit in CivicLab’s National Talent Network – has released three new case studies featuring Historically Black Community Colleges and Predominantly Black Community Colleges (PBCCs). The first installment of a set of case studies holds the promise to significantly contribute to the understanding and advancement of Alabama’s HBCCs and PBCCs, collectively known as “The Great Eight.”
“The mission of these case studies is to elevate the nation’s first network that aims to create pathways to ensure and support adults learners of color receiving valuable credentials at HBCCs and PBCCs.” reads the report. Noting the historic underfunding and lack of literature, Alabama Possible and their partners are using the power of collaboration to reform systems around these critical institutions.
